My heart is heavy as I write this post. A local radio host where I used to live (in Birmingham, AL) son lost his life Saturday night. The child was 2 years old and he accidentaly got outside and drowned in their pool. Their website has more information. www.rickandbubba.com. I keep listening to their webcast and all I keep hearing is how strong the family is spiritually. This is a true testament to faith. This poor man just lost his youngest child and he can still glorify God. I hope my faith can one day be this strong. Although, I cannot imagine this and it is my worst nightmare, it comforts me to know that he is with God and his mother and father will be comforted by the Lord. After listening to this, it has really made me reflect on my faith, life and gifts God has given me. I will forever be grateful for my gift from God and that is exactly what she is a Gift. I will never, ever take for granted again her precious life. And when I feel like complaining about her or how much she's getting on my nerves (as we all do as parents) I will forever think about this family and the loss they are feeling. They are in my prayers and thoughts daily.
